Knock Sensor in D16Z6 block - anyone done?
Well i'm finished my all motor D16 build with 12.25:1 compression. Now, I'm using a Y8 head but Z6 block so there is no "stock spot" for knock sensor. Searching i've found only a few threads where maybe the stocker was tapped into a alternator braket hole.
My question is are there any aftermarket/chevy/volvo/etc. knock sensors that people have used?
Aftermarket would be great but even browsing google i can't find much for honda's let alone a Z6. Do some WB 02 sensors offer knock sensing?
Thanks guys,
Vince

I've had a KS on my old 94 Z6 when I run it on PR3. Best location is, when looking at the block and header, just off to the right. (if you're not using power steering).
You can find plenty of DOHC KS. They are useless after ECU's been chipped.

Awesome thanks man...are the stock honda KS threads the same as the holes you are talking about?
My power fc has knock warning which untill i am fully tuned would be great to have.
Thanks!

nooo, that was a bitch to do. Had to tap it. WHat I did was I only had the tap alone in a vise grip, and it worked. Took time and lots of muscle though...
