hey guys i was driving to work today and all the sudden my radio turned off, radar turned off and the instrument panel went down and it came right back up, it was real instant. The car didnt turn off but this happend about 3 or 4 times along the way. do you guys know what the problem is. thanks

 

sounds like it could be a battery problem, or even an alternator problem.

 

battery is pretty new about 7 months old.. alternator not sure car has 70000 miles on it. but the car doesnt turn off atall.. the radio turns off and turns right back on like it was glitch or something, same thing with the instrument cluster panel, while driving say i am driving at 70mph it will turn off the and the guage will go back down to 60mph and it will come back on real quick.

btw how can you tell if it an alternator problem..
while cranking the car, the car starts without any problem atall..

 

sometimes when an alternator still works but is going bad, it can make certain electronics go haywire.

it doesnt happen when you hit a slight bump or anything does it?

 

hmmm no it turns off in straight road.. no bumps.. i havent checked the fuses atall but i dont think thats the problem...

 

i dont have a power loss (hp wise) just the radio, radar and the instrument panel going out for 1/2 sec and coming back up..

 

Check the fuses, I had a problem very similar to that one, but only my radio went out.

 

its not all the time that all the electronics go out though. 3/5 times the radio only went out and came back on.. how did you fix your problem Grodzman

 

any other opinions guys?
