Looks dope Darin, I miss that car but I am glad your taking it to the next level, hit me up when you want some cams Your close to 200. SMSP, big TB and some nice lifty cams and this car will make some very nice numbers.

Is it still 1.8 liter? I've seen people with similar setups make the same hp but torque is usually below 130. Excellent torque if it's a 1.8L

Yea, I'm still 1.8L. I wasn't expecting this much torque either...my baseline run was 189hp/130tq. I gained 11ft/lbs and 5hp with tuning. I find it funny that I'm making as much power if not more than the people I've seen on this board with Jun or Toda cams and ported heads.

that's dope.
I love it when an almost stock engine blows away other engine setups that people spend soo much $$ on ... good work..

Great numbers. I am really impressed that you are using the stock head.

Way to go! I think the smaller GS-R TB is helping with the torque, go to a bigger TB and see more HP and less torque. I hope to prove this theory on the dyno as soon as my new motor is broken in.

That's what I was thinking also. My pistons are also 81.5mm, so I'm sure that helps as well.

yea...I tuned Louis' car on the same day. He has a JG ported b16 head with Spec Bs and spoon header and all this other stuff.. 186hp/133tq hahahaha!!!! It's like the more money he spends, the slower he goes.

I wonder if you'd see better #'s with a more expen$ive header? Although it seems like the JDM 4-1 is doing just fine.

i bet i would..as soon as i have the money, I'm gonna try out one of those smsp headers. I'm pretty sure i'd peak over 200 with one of those judging by the gains I've seen from people who use that header.
