home depot couplers safe for low boost level?
Yeah, I ran some for awhile, but they seems to get soft/wornout/etc... in a few months, but for 1$ a peice on a low cash/boost setup they work great...
I've been boosted for 500 miles now at 10 PSI...I've never had any blow off yet. I haven't checked the condition though. My only worry would be them tearing up the silicone, but think everything is ok

Im running 12psi of boost right now on them.. If you do have a problem with them blowing off then put a little hairspray on the charge pipe before you slide them on.. Also get some t-bolt clamps and youll never have a problem..

or you can do what i did and get an exhaust flare tool. Flare out the end of the piping say 1/8 inch and then place the coupling on and place a hose clamp on before the flare in the pipe and if you get it tight enoughthe clamp will be tightened enough so that the clamp is now lower than the flare, you wont have to worrie about them blowing off. I dont know if this helped or just confused.
i've had some problems with them. I'm on my third coupling from lowes. The one right off of my turbo. I have t-bolt clamps and silicone couplers everywhere else but there. I'be just been too lazy to get one that's 1.5" in silicone. Anyways, it keeps splitting and it blows off alot. Whoever said its silicone is wrong they are made of nitrile and they get really soft when they get heated up.
