black, ground
red, power
purple, signal, white wire off your o2 sensor
im sure this has been covered, and if its an autometer, theres wiring diagrams on autometer.com if you need further guidence

If this is a stock VX, which uses a 5-wire O2 - then the simplistic Autometer a/f gauges will not work with it.
4-wire O2's output a voltage on their own.
5-wire O2's need the ECU to control them and make sense of its output.
