Default Need help installing Air/Fuel Gauge

I'm installing an Autometer Air/Fuel gauge in my 00 DX Hatch. The O2 Sensor has 4 wires (2) Black (1) White and (1) Green. The Auto Meter gauge has 3 wires, (1) Black (1) Red and (1) Purple. Which wires do I connect?

Thanks
Alex

If you can find the O2 sensor at the ECU, and connect the AutoMeter signal wire to that, you're in business.

If memory serves me right, you connect the purple wire to the ECU signal wire (which is white according to the Helms for the 99-2000 D16Y5 motor and connects to the ECU at D7 and corresponds to the white wire coming from the O2 sensor, if I have your engine code right). However, according to my Helms, the green wire on the O2 should have a black stripe, and the two black wires one should have a yellow stripe and the other should have a white stripe.

The red and black are old fashioned. The red goes to a switched 12 volt power supply (to supply power to the gauge), and the black is a ground.

black=ground
red=fuse box (positive with switch)
purple= o2 sensor signal

in your case you will have to find out which is the one of the four ********

nothing like a cx wiring harness= one wire for o2 sensor

White - Purple
Red - 12V+
Black - Ground
Air/Fuel Gauge - trashcan
Easy enough!

the most difficult one to find will be the O2 wire. Just remember that the O2 wire is the all white wire. At least it is on my 2000 EX.
