Blow flames with an ITR??
Anyone blow flames out of their exhaust with their ITR?
If so what was done to acheive it?
I figure a straight exhaust no cat, and running a little rich so a fireball can be ignited through the shifts.

not an itr but my friends prelude does this. he has a gutted stock cat, an exhaust and i think he makes it run richer. when he shifts in high rpms it sounds like a gunshot goes off and you see a big fireball come out of the exhaust.
run a race header, no cat, straight through cat back, richen the hell outta your mixture, you can shoot some small flames. But why would you want to do this? I guess if I had a really really fast car it would look kinda cool

Yes it's just for the coolness factor. Plus it would be good to blow a flame behind a import ricer following too closely to my rear bumper.

my buddy's vw can do this lol no cat, flow through muffler and bigger injectors lol its runs to rich between shifts so when he shifts it will shoot flames. but someone sells them somewhere if u want some ricy ones like in the F&F. they had a spark plug and alchol i believe was supposed to make your car "Just like in the Fast and the Furious" by $.02 is if it happens by haveing to free flowing of a system and running to rich it happens and will try to fix it so it won't happen. once u shoot flames your running to rich and are asking for a back fire, which is bad
what's "running a little rich"?
sorry I am not car smart, still in my learning process.

My S4 will shoot flames sometimes on deceleration. I have a test pipe, no cat. It just happens, I don't really care for the "coolness factor" of it. But I do admit, it scares the living **** out of people when they see a big fireball coming out of your exhaust.

I think turbo cars are more prone to do this the NA cars although I think I've done it once and I've seen APexi GSR do it a couple of times.
