Default interior rattles/vibrations

when driving, my whole car feels like it's just going to fall apart, and it sounds like it too.. all the interior parts, such as the trunk panels, door panels, and dashboard all rattle and thump everytime i go over a bump and it sounds horrible. theres squeaks coming from EVERYWHERE.

does anyone have any suggestions that i could fix this with? i was thinking of putting some foam or rubber inserts or something behind them but i dont wanna go spending 300 bucks on foam... anyone have any interesting ideas for this?

and please don't suggest just to strip it all... it's a daily driver, and i drive people all the time, so i need the full interior. thanks

well man, its hard to say, you really limited down your options as to what to do to fix.

i mean we (well most of us) have stiffer then stock suspension in our car's, which really makes everything ridged so you're going to get those noises. plus our car's are hatches, which are nitorious for the "haunted house" feel of creeking noises and things rubbing up aginst eachother.

you can always buy that foam tape but that can get costly.. you dont wanna strip the car, or no foam. hmm... what about the carpet foam.. people throw that away all the time. could get some of that..

do you have front and rear tower brace bar's? maybe the noise could be comming from upper flex of the body?

Fill the areas with poly-fill. You could even use home insulation. You can buy poly-fill at craft stores. The problem will be locating the exact area of the noise. How old is your car? Do you have a system? When you continously remove panels and re-install them they are gonna get loose. Make sure all your retainers and screws are all in place too. These things will happen as your car ages. You should hear my '88 CRX Si.

it's a '94 dc2. the panels have been taken off quite frequently, and many of the screws/pushpins are missing... which could be some of the reason. what's this polyfill stuff though? some liquid you just put in between? home insulation is a good idea...

the tires do produce a LOT of road noise, they're azenis and are extremely loud. i can't wait to slap my nokian winter tires on, it'll be so much quieter but i'm talking about the actual thumping and rocking and squeaking of the panels, not the tires
