Default How bout an EXHAUST test??

Im pretty new to this board, so Im not sure if its been done before. But I think it would be a GREAT IDEA to have an EXHAUST TEST similar to the header tests. Everyone says that the ITR exhaust is good enough, and you only need to change the rear section. Well, how bout running some tests on an ITR that has basic mods?Test both rear sections and full cat backs. no matter what, the exhaust is going to be one of the last things Im getting because I LOVE the quietness of the stock exhaust. But I would like to know if it really needs to be swapped out for something aftermarket. Just a thought.

And the first thing you'll want to settle is whether you're talking cat back or axle back.
Both.

Anyway it was just a thought.

it's worthless. The car will have to be modified since exhausts do not do much on stock cars.

I think we should have tested the CompTech header on the stock exhaust set up just to see the difference between the 2 exhausts. I think the 2-1/4" cat had a lot to do with the very good baseline numbers for the car. Remember that the JDM headers used a 2-1/2" test pipe where the CompTech with the 2" collector ran a stepped 2-1/4" x 2-1/2" test pipe.

Well and a good set of muffler bearings since we're doing the exhausts at the same time!
