i just got a 35shot nitrous kit for my '00 accord LX sedan, with auto tranny. I know that honda auto tranny's arent very strong and cant take too much more power than what it already has. will the 35 shot hurt my car at all???

 

do you have a 4 banger or v6.... i dont think 35 shot will hurt the tranny alot as long as ur in second or d3....peace

 

It SHOULDN'T hurt the tranny, but damn those slushboxes are REALLY weak man. I dunno...

 

Im not sure but to be safe i would spray 3000rpm and up...dont spray below that and dont spray on d4....bah just do away with the automatic crap and get a manual transmission swap

point being, im a student too, i go school 15 hours a week and work fulltime....you can manage

 

In all honesty I cant see why a tranny swap would be worthwhile at all. Call me a newfound pessimist with my turbo, but I could get a Civic with a manual with a JDM swap+boost or built, with everything I'd basically want for 9,000, which is what my car is basically worth.

Maybe you guys are more diehard than I am, but for the money a manual costs, an Accord isnt the cheapest car to modify. I guess im a cheap bastard, but since i'm a student like you guys, I think that's why. For 3,000 dollars I could lower a swapped Civic into the 13s while 3,000 dollars on my accord could lower it into the 14's. I dunno, call me pessimistic and tight with my money...

Well if you're about to put a set up for a nitrous shot in your car you obviously have some coin to throw around. I'm not sure you want to be spraying if that's your only or one of the few mods you have already.
