Default How does this happen? Cracked Air conditioning compressor

I bought the car not too long ago and the guy told me that the A/C needed to be recharged so I tried recharging it but it never worked so I figured I was doing it wrong and would take it to a shop after winter but when doing the turbo install which is A/C compatiable I figured it would be easier if I removed the compressor and this is what I found How the hell does that happen??
