i guess it's ok, if you got it used for a hundred bucks.
i'd never buy a new one. $250 is insane for an intake when you can make one just as good yourself for 10 bucks. i never bought into that dual tube crap. plus you gotta move your ac lines or something. eff that.

i gota question, why are you worrying about which intake to use when you have a boosted car?
those wont even fit

its really up to you.. with the v2, you cant use the bypass valve, if you wanted to..
and since your aem is only a sri.. it wont matter anyways.
but i think, im pretty sure that v2's are cold air

depends where you live...i live in jersey..climate sucks its always pouring unexpectedly...thats why i went for short ram...my boy got a v2.....car does pull a slight noticeable difference...but nothing i would risk hydrolocking over
I suggest the stock intake system with a after market filter like spoon or greddy. The stock rubber arms disperse more heat then the AEM metal tubes. Plus you get a better throttle response off the stock system.

that's what my friend has done K&N works pretty good

V2 is cold air and you can not use a water bypass valve cause it makes the intake useless over a regular one... and according to the physics classes i have taken the intake should actually flow more air...
Just got mine last month brand new for $165.
Does anyone else's V2 hum when the car is idling? Mine does
.
Also, if I press the gas down a certain amount, it whistles. Anyone else?
All in all, I like it a lot.

ive got the V2 in my 98 GSR and i like the fact that its visually intimidating.
downside: its a B*TCH to put in. (especially cuz i ve got the stock & DC strut bar)
upside: it makes my car sound mean, if im gunning it and yer outside listening, especially when VTEC kicks in @ 4500
AEM V2 vs SRI
V2 = cai = better for freeway racing/ top end
SRI = better throttle body response for short races/low end

I have taken my car to the dyno and did 3 dyno pulls with a regular AEM cold air intake and then I did another 3 pulls with the V2 intake and I had a 3whp gain total a the peak curve started at a lower rpm. SO I can say that the V2 is a great intake.

You can technically build your own V2. Just order 2 of the extensions for it and put them together, and pop on any filter you want. Cheaper, and you have yoru choice of filter

for spending over 30 bucks on pipes and a foam filter [which got you at most 5 whp]
