Default 85 CRX carb need help ASAP!!!!!!!!!

Hey I need to find some information on how to convert a 85 Crx Carberated to Fuel Injection. (plan on either putting a b18a1 or b18b in it). Please give me direct links not to homepages. if anybody can help me one on one that would be best let me know guys. You have helped me before when I did a b18a1 in my 91 CRX Si now I want to go even more old school .

Look for a 84-87 civic/crx SI in a junkyard and take the intake manifold,ecu,wiring,everything..

I helped my friend convert his 85 mustang 5.0(carb) to 87-93 5.0 spec (FI)
What a pain in da ***.. So many extra wires

What needs to be done for the b18a1...
1. Fuels delivery?
2. Wiring?
3. Engine mounts?
4. Axles?
5. Is there any cutting of the frame, body??

Pretty much I know a lot more about 88-00 civic/crx and 90-01 Integras.

I know nothing (well damn near nothing) about carberuators. I really don't know to much of the pre-88 CRX . About 3-4 months ago I didn't know sh*t about CRX's now I have 2 engine swaps done all by myself. I know a lot of what will and won't work for the CRX's just not any before 88.

You'll need a bunch of things.

Fuel lines,
Si tank with pump,
Wiring harness.

I've got a complete wiring harness from a 86 Si.

Headlight to tail light including dash harness.

May not need it so I may let it go for a price.

I've read of people keeping there stock fuel except the filter and pump and the hoses. I guess the difficult part is where to mount the si fuel pump.

Wire Harness yeah I'm definately going to be on the look out for a complete SI harness.

Anybody else??

You can not use the stock fuel lines because they can not handle the pressure needed. Also there is no fuel pump once you remove the stock engine because the fuel pump is mounted to the engine. I'd stick with using wiring for the same model.

Do you know if the fuel lines run below the car or the inside of the car? Where is the fuel pump on it when I remove it (just curious)? I will plan on sticking with the same model then I was just wondering.

Thanks for the help.

I just finished a carb to fi swap with a B16 into a 1987 Crx. PM me for more info.
You can use some of the stock fuel lines. I used the carb feed line as the new f.i. return line. I left the tank vent line the same and added a new Si feed line. I used a Si pickup/sender in the HF tank as well as the Si pump in the stock location. You will have to make some sort of mount for it there.

The lines are all inside the car along the left frame rail.

An Si wiring harness is easiest as well.

Check out the info on hasports site.

Could you go in depth on what you had to do to convert it to a Carb-FI? Or could you post some pics or send me some pics. I'll IM you with the same questions.

Thanks.

bump checked out the car has minor stuff that needs to be done but I am going to get it as long as I sell my 91 CRX Si w/b18a1 w/S1 tranny (PM me if you can beat 1300!!).

So I need to know how to do this. Is there a fuel filter on a carb engine or will I need to add one?
