civic slow after warm up

Default civic slow after warm up

my car is a 96 DX. i donno whats wrong with it. 10 seconds after i start the car, i take off, and it feels peppy. much like my friends 94 DX. then after about 2 minutes, the water temp needle settles to the middle of the gauge. the car starts feeling slow. the throttle response sucks when the engine warms up. can anyone help?? im baffeled!!

check your exhaust....if theres white smoke it could be your head gasket

theres definitely no white smoke, unless im just turning on the car. its really cold right now, so i concluded that to be steam. others have said, it could be my ignition timing since i fooled with the distributor. [no ping] i made an etch in the distributor to set the stock setting, but maybe it affected something. how do i set it to the optimum setting? would TB spray cleaner help things? fuel injector cleaner?

hmmm....yea make sure your ignition is advancing itself, also make sure your exhaust and intake (air cleaner) dont have anythign blocking them
