Default CAR OVERHEATED!

ok so i've been driving pretty hard all day, and i'm driving up this steep as hill and when i park i notice steam coming out of my hood, i look down at my watertemp and its 3/4 to the red line...the smoke had a sweet smell : \
i recently installed new sparkplugs and read somewhere that overtightening them can cause u'r engine to overheat...although, my friend (who's pretty car savvy) said that if the smell is sweet it might be an engine coolant problem...please help!!!

...btw, i have a 95 teg ls.

hey it could be your water pump. does your car still overheat though? if it does then that could be it. mine was the same. i heard something clicking and then temp went up. and everytime i drive it goes up. anyways, check that out, if not that then it could be the thermostat

turn on your heater full blast to take as much heat out of the heater core as possible. but the best thing would be just to pull over.

first theing you need to do is a radiator pressure test to see where the leak is from then you will have a better idea what the problem is ...

and overtightening plugs will only cause stripped threads not overheating ...
