basically i was just cruising like 40 mph and all of a sudden it goes off.
its never gone off before, and i have about 40K miles on it. it idles fine, and everything seems fine..but i cant seem to find out what caused it. does anybody have a clue what it is, or what it could possibly be? any info appreciated. thanks so much.

carsound cats are good, but since R's run rich, it will definitely go out sooner than expected. if you get her tuned, i'm sure the cat will last lots longer.

do you have a high flow cat? mine threw that code all the time. the reason for the code is that obdII cars measure the differnece in exhaust gases from the first to the second o2 sensor. if the second reads too close to the first one, check engine light. the car will run fine, it is not a limp mode code. i solved my problem by getting a obd1 kenji chipped ecu and jumper harness

Make one of these:

I believe Black R was making plug in and play versions of these. Don't know if he's doing it any more.

that's the wiring after the O2 plug, between the plug and the sensor, not the ecu wiring.

if you take the light bulb out, there may be other codes being thrown later so just check your codes every month or so.

That's the first thing I saw too.. I was gonna reply "Congratulations!!!"

Usually, driving on the CEL isn't bad. Don't push it until you know what it is.
