Default help with my d15

my 88 civic is starting to act up. it stutters under load from time to time, and some times even stalls at a stop.

it did this about three weeks ago then i changed all the plugs, wires, cap, rotor, pcv valve, fuel filter. the problem went away.

untill yesterday. in the morning drive to work when i shift from 2nd to third gear and accelerate the car stutters and feels like its runnign out of gas, then it picks up and drives normal, if i down shift it also drives normal.

now it did this again today and when i came to a stop it died. its got half a tank of gas so im not running out. so i start it up again and again it dies, it did this four or five times untill i pressed the throttle and kept the rpms high for about a minute or so, then the problem went away.

also two nights ago i was driving and pressing on the throttle, the car would slow down like i had let go of the accelerator, but i was still pressing, then like two seconds later it picked up and drove normal.

any ideas??? im thinking it could be fuel pump, but im not sure. could it be anything else?

Possibly main relay or the ignitor.

no check engine light.

how can i check the distributor? ive swapped out the rotor and cap for new ones. the problem went away for three weeks or so.

could it be a faulty ignitor? the car runs flawlessly on the highway.

i think it may be the IAC. i unplugged it, and it hasnt done the bogging stuttering thing today, but it did stall on me at a light.

but i think the stall is due to the idle being set low, and the IAC not functioning to bring the idle back up.

when i stoped in my driveway with the lights and heater off the car idled fine, but when i turned the lights on the car idled a bit funny and when the heater was turned on, it idled worse.

so with the IAC unplugged it doesnt stutter but it does stall, perhaps if i manually bring the idle up it may correct the stalling. i dont have a tach but i know its pretty low.

anyone else think it could be the IAC?

BTW anyone got a spare d15 IAC they can part with?
