For those of you with sleeve coilovers such as Ground Control, what are you doing about the dust cover on the shock? If I leave the stock metal dust cover on the shock, it will bang into the sleeve of the coilover, rendering them useless. I bought myself some compressable rubber dustcovers, but they're so fat, the spring cant fit over them.

What are you guys doing about the dustcovers?? Are you just simply leaving it off or did you find some other way around it?

Left them off.

 

My Bilsteins came with a set of plastic ones and I cut them so they wouldn't get caught. I was a bit scared of leaving them off.

 

Will leaving them off cause any detrimental effects in the future? Dont want to ruin my Koni's.

 

iuno ALOT of people say not to run dustcovers because its not necessary... But if you think about it... one flying rock can really ruin your day.
