Hey, have a 1989 hf crx and i want to put in an 89' si motor and tranni. Are there any wqiring differences between the two models, also, will it still pass emisions.

No, you DON'T have to convert to MPFI. The HF and the SI are both MPFI. The DX is DPFI. And yes, it will pass emissions.

like what makes that ef an "std" and why do you guys call it that :D

88-91 STD hatches are the base models..4spd and no passenger mirror.vinyl seats..Lower HP then the DX..Black bumpers..etc
std stands for standard..We didnt make that name up,, Honda did

basically, the hatch uses std and the rex uses dx
i think in canada there is no crx dx they call the rex std as well

ohh hey you also dont have to deal with going to the referee because the Si crx motor was an option for that model ...so if any smog tech give you a hard time just walk around back and take a dump on their dash board

hf is mpfi already.

DX comes 5spd or auto and has a passenger mirror....and they have 90-92hp
All STD's come 4spd and no passenger mirror..and have around 70hp
