Default DC2 Fujitsubo + EG = no damn good

Ok, so...I get the Fujitsubo off the R, thinking I can just bolt it up to the EG, maybe shorten the test pipe or something. Well, no. It doesn't fit. At all. Knowing that you all are more performance-oriented, I figured I'd bring it up here. Anyone have any good suggestions for an exhaust that'll fit an EG hatch with a B18B?

Furthermore, it looks like the Fuji will be up for sale shortly. It's not in perfect shape, but the bits that are scratched/dented don't affect performance in the slightest (on the resonator).

pick up a 2.5" T1R made for a EK or pick up any muffler built for a CTR. It will bolt on with little to no mods.

Have an EG with B18B1.

Got an Apexi WS Catback, but had same problem wouldn't fit. About 13 inches.

Welded and adapter to a piece of pipe, bolted on to the exhaust.

For the header side, cut off the flange, slid the pipe over and welded tight.

The pipe is exactly the same size.

So yes there is no cat, but in FL. I think though that the ITR cat will fill the gap, but the flange has to be spun around to mate.

Crud. This sounds like a big barrel of no-goodness.

Just curious on how much you would be willing to let the exhaust go for. PM me if you can thanks

Its no wonder they make different exhausts for the two cars, who would have ever thought?

The EG forum has some good threads on exhausts for swapped hatchbacks...

The only reason I was surprised was that I had heard previously the exhausts were interchangeable. It does "almost" fit, the angle in like two or three places is just slightly wrong, and one of the exhaust hangers is way off. As for refitting and welding...I don't think so. The amount of work that would be required and the thought of modifying a very nice system and possibly screwing it up is not sounding good to me. It's not just cutting and shortening the B-pipe or something.
