Default '04 S2k tail lights on '00-'03

Is it possible? I love the 04-05 tail lights, I was just wondering if it'd fit onto my 02...they look to be the same size and all of that...

also, how about the headlights? I dunno, i just love the lights on the '04's....

anyone done it? I searched...of course, but found nothing.

The pre 04 have two lights while the 04 has 3 in the housing. Once you remove the pre 04 lights you will see two openings, you will have to cut a third to make provisions for the new lights. You will also need to do some rewiring for the LEDs'.

rewiring the leds to what? anybody have specs on how they work? The pre 04's have 2, one for headlights, and one for signalling, what're the third lights for?

If I do cut, would it have to be exact?

I have an '04 s2k; theres actually 4. 1 projector, 1 highbeam, 1 clear illumination, and one turn signal. As far as LEDs, they've only added them to the tail lights. I know that LEDs need a lot less voltage/amperage to run, so theres a probably an inverter circuit running in there. I have seen bolt-in bulbs that look like they have the circuits already at the bottom of the bulb. Long story short: Use the '04 tailight housing, buy aftermarket LED bulbs. Headlights I have no idea. I've never really looked too close at the 00-03 headlights. Do they have the illum bulb too?

HID's are the projector and your high beams. the illumination bulb is the small one in the corner that comes on when u turn your lights 1 click.

I saw on Car and Driver TV (?) that the front ends are swappable, but the rears are completely different. They, and I could be wrong. Just came across this post and thought I'd give my 411. Hope to have an s2k in three years when I'm done with school

I did research on this topic before because I was interested in doing this myself. There are the two links on how to make your 00-03 headlights/taillights into 04's. Also, in one of the links, there is how to wire your lights. Hope this helps.

The tail lights need some modding to get to fit. I hear some different sockets and minor body work
