well if you want a fast car, you should put a engine into the car, not a moter.

from what I gather you want to put LS engine in a GSR, while somehow making your CRX faster?

Little more specific please.

well u cant really make your ls motor a gsr motor, u can do ls/vtec but it wont be the same, it has a ls trans the gsr trans has different gears, but i think the answer your lookin for is to go ls/vtec

naw dude all you gotta do is change all your internals is the same motor same lenght or height w/e so all you gotta do is change your ls internals to gsr or even better type r internals

what? by the time you change internals (which only applies to the block) you still have to buy a gsr head and tranny, you could easily just buy a whole b18c1 swap and be done with it

Doing Ls/Vtec, is going to be faster than a b18c1 engine and that it should save you more money..

This is what i got out of it by doing some serious guessing.

He has a crx with an LS motor and wants to turn it into a GSR motor.

it may seem like its the same motor w/ lenght and height.. but you are wrong.... you will need to drill extra oil passages that these vtec block has (which is more cost) IMO its better to just buy the gsr block itself.. trust me i was at that route once before ... YEAH BEFORE ENDLESS RESEARCH.... CONTINIOUS RESEARCH!
i mean dont get me wrong its possible (waste of money since all you are trying to build is a stock gsr block which will cost pretty cheap now) but there are a lot of consideration you that put into it... and also time and RESEARCH

LS VTEC would be equivalent unless modded ....more

1. yes you will need to drill(professional maching shop) oil holes to the ls block ..either that your LS block is pretty good for boost (TURBO)
2.you cant use your 88 SI tranny if that is from the d-series its not compatible...
however you can use your 94 gsr tranny shorter geared than the ls tranny...HTH
