I'm not too sure if this is where this type of thread goes, but I felt like I needed to give you guys a heads up...

I was warming up my car today by Stony Brook U. when one random guy comes up to me offering me parts and asking funny questions, such as "Would your HIDs fit a civic?" Anyway, we started a conversation, and he got into great detail about where his friends were heading to "pick up" some more Type R parts...so I listened carefully, and from what I understand, there is one or two Rs out here in Stony Brook that are under very close watch, and a few others in Farmingdale and the surrounding area. This may not be of any help, but I figured if I could somehow spread the word, and the owners of those Rs read up here, they might take more than the usual preventive measures...

do us a favor. next time someone openlly admits they are watching a R to take, just hit them at the back of their head to knock them out. then tie them up good and call opie so he could take care of the situation.

It was hard to hold a conversation with the kid to be honest with you... a part of me wanted to knock out a few of his teeth, especially when he revealed that he barely knew anything about Hondas (other than disabling the immobilizer and using a screw driver to break the ignition and start the car )

This is what convinced me that he knew nothing...

"Yo, I saw this type R once and it killed my EK with the Si mota in it...Musta had a turbo or something..."

and...

"Nah...Blocks before 98 dont have numbers on them...all they say is B18..."

and best of all...(when he realized that I knew much more than he did about building an engine...)

"So youre saying I can't use type R pistons and rods on my LS crank while running 18psi unless it's tuned?" It was at that point that I knew he couldn't possibly know anything about type Rs other than the usual "Suede red stitched seats and carbon fiba interior...oh...and cant forget da five lugggg"

 

btw you should atch out. he could be scoping your car too.

thanks for the advice...yea...ive already done a bit more than the usual to protect my car (removed ECU, autolock, etc.)

but i suppose if he really wants my car, he'll take it...but my car sits on steelies, has trunk damage and looks like it hasnt been washed in years, so lol...being a sleeper is sometimes the best security around here

and I'm sorry to hear about your R Nishant...where was it stolen?

I am an Ex-USB student... I drive my R to stony brook once in a while. because i live so close by... there are definitely more hot chicks now than when i was attending USB.... and also a lot of nicer cars, saw some kids driving new M3, evo, sti and ****.

What color is your R?

 

you should have been like "hey let me have your number so i can call you in a week or so... im lookin to get some more R parts."

Then if he did infact have R parts, you could probably find out through this forum whos car it was and roll over to meet them with a couple bats

that would have probably been one of the first revenges of a R thief...

I'm a freshman, and I don't own an R I do have a type RS, though lol
Please don't tell me you own a champ white R, because I've seen it around Stony Brook rd. and this kid talked about it, but luckily he admitted that he couldnt find where the owner lived. And yea, there are some crazy hot chicks lol, even though most of them are asian, and I haven't had good experiences with asian girls lol...and have you seen that S2000 by H Quad? Its hot

Integra theft on Long Island has been crazy lately. I have some info for a kid who was almost run down by them when they went to strip or steal his car. 8 or 10 guys in an older Chevy Astro Van.

Exactly. Next time you seem him tell him a couple of people you know just got large pay increases and they are looking to rule the racing scene so they need parts like yesterday. Tell him as long as the parts are real Type R parts they will be purchased for sure as these guys have $$$ burning holes in their pockets. Act a bit excited that you finally found someone with parts for sale. Then...
