Best block sleeving companies/brands/shortblocks...
I'm curious to see some pros and cons of particular companies that make block sleeves and install them. I've heard some rumors about sleeves sinking??? I am building a turbocharged and nitrous fed F22a shortblock and i want the best. I want the bottom end to be able to handle atleast 650hp... Any feedback will be appreciated. Thanks,
Adam

sinking sleeves are a thing of the past i think . technology took care of that.
basically its a matter if you want a closed deck design , open deck design , or open deck with a "block guard" kind of extra brace.
i love my AEBS block and recomend them to everyone. GE puts out some great blocks vince is the man. everyone knows benson produces ******* awsome blocks with darton sleeves . dartons are the **** too. so its all a matter of choice man . price too

Price is not an option to me now. I think i possibly blew my motor. I was just driving normal on the way to work and all of a sudden tons of blue smoke out the exhuast. I check it out, and i find the turbocharger blew an oil seal pouring tons of oil in my engine/exhaust. But the thing that gets me is that my dipstick/breather have an excessive amount of pressure coming out of them now and a lot of oil vapor. I let the car run for hours and just tons of blue smoke. Tomorrow i'm going to remove the turbo and run the vehicle/ and do leakdown tests. It just boggles my mind that the turbo oil seal and an internal engine problem happend at the same time, and i was driving normal...I'm definatly using an turbo oil feed restrictor after this... Building an engine is easy to me, i have all the special tools/equipment, but the prices of some of these shortblocks are unbeatable...

less than a year ago , i would have said all blocks are not created equal.....but now it seems like every company has gottin their **** together and are producing great blocks . GE's used to sink alot , they are **** hot now . we all know the story with RS , they are under new ownership and are good to go . AEBS has horrible customer service but produce great blocks . benson is top notch like i said.

ERL hands down best out there. Maybe not the newest kid on the "block"...little pun there...but definetly have done their homework on all the honda blocks out there and do all the finishing touches that are necessary to have a reliable, long living, gauranteed block. Oh, and they will hold all the power you can throw at em' too......but that goes without saying.
Honestly, why would HONDA themselves goto them for work on the race cars that they put their names on. Numerous HART road racing and soon to be Pro rwd drag car use ERL for sleeving....among other services. Not to mention some of the bigger names out there in the drag racing world.
Honestly, everyone can talk about who's best and most will often give a biased answer to your question. Yes, I am a dealer for the ERL blocks. But also yes I have gone through many other companies that offer sleeving service and ERL is the answer to all your desired needs when it comes to block service.
Just take a look at this small vid they have showing a quick look into the treatment that every block receives by them. No other company has the ***** to show what it is they "do", cause most dont have the equipment or even technology to be able to give your block the love it needs.

Thats what you are doing, offering a biased opinion. im sure your blocks are good, but they dont offer any advantage over bensons, or darton, etc tc
