Default got a new z6 head

lookin to builkd the whole motor noy a mini-me, im working on loocating a z6 block.

my question is, what can i do to the head in the meantime to get it like new and maybe even better than stock...i havent even taken off the valve cover... i want to clean the internals and i want to know what are my options to replace for beter performance? im thinking cams or cam gears or am i wrong? Basically, if you had a z6 head and no block yet, what would you do to make it badass to prepare it to be matched to a z6 block

Well, there is a ton os stuff you can do. But first, what is your goal for the motor? Are you gonna boost it, or do you just want a little more NA power for the street? First of all, no matter what way you go, you can start with a port and polish, then a nice cam (if you're gonna turbo it, I recommend using a ZEX cam - I dont' remember the part number for it) with some new valves and valve springs and retainers. After that, thats pretty much a fully built head, and all things considered, its not that expensive. Well, it'd be more expensive to do that stuff on a b-series.
