Seafoam
I am just about ready to do an oil change, and I would like to seafoam the motor first. Just want to get an overall opinion of H-T members on how they felt about seafoam experience. Thanks!!

But change your oil before that.

where's the "Do a search" option?
No need to change your plugs afterwards. Take 'em out if you really want to and soak them in gasoline for a little bit and brush them with a brass or soft wire brush. Deffinately do an oil change after you get done running the stuff through.

Don't need to do a search. I have read about 50 posts day by day on seafoam, but still get mixed reviews. I wanted to get all of the opinions in one place. Thanks anyway, I search b4 any post as well as before I respond to many posts on other peoples threads.

So what makes you think that this isn't going to be another one of those "mixed review" threads?

I know I will get mixed reviews, but this way it is all in one place. This is not only for my information, but for everyone else who has asked about this in the past, as well as anyone who wonders about it in the future.

Thanks for the reply. The car runs just fine, but then again, it is a swapped motor, so I don't know how hard it was driven before I got the motor. I am just not sure if it is running at 100% (ie carbon deposits, etc.).

There IS NO NEED TO CHANGE THE PLUGS. I have done 5 cars and the plugs were fine. Sick of reading misinformation

You should change your oil after you seafoam your car. Why would you want to be driving around with all those harsh solvents in your oil?

Seafaom shouldn't lower compression, it may clean carbon deposits from pistons and head that would slightly raise the compression but at the same time free up stuck rings and allow valves to seat fully that would actually lower the compression slightly. As for the spark plugs, I'm a seller of seafoam and you only need to change them if they are due for it, otherwise your only wasting money, they will clean your spark plugs like new.
