Default HELP! Timing Off??? belt? cam?

Hello, I'm really new to this but it seems like you guys know what you're talking about on here for the most part. Anyway I have a 00 Accord with the 4cyl 2.3l ulev vtec. Its the F23. Anyway, i had the engine rebuilt a while ago and ever since the car has been a bit boggy. I bought an fmax turbo for it and I wanted to make sure everything was up to par before i had it installed. I had it dyno tested and came to find out that it is only putting out 108hp!!!! What the hell is going on??? They seem to think that its the timing belt, that maybe the people that rebuilt my engine didn't line it up correct, or set the cam, or possibly even the distributor. The only mods thus far on this car are: dc headers, hks dragger (dual) exhaust, aem v2 intake, and vafc2. car runs and sounds perfect. I have the money to spend on getting this thing fixed but i just want it done now!!! plz help me out here!!

Well, i know thats what i thought. In addition the check engine light didn't come on ethier, could it be just a little off? could it be my compression? the car should be putting out at LEAST 150hp

yes, thats is definatley a possibility. yes i had a motor that had engine timing off, and yes it sounded fine and it ran ok around town. after experiecing it fall flat on its face at 6000 i decieded something was wrong. after investigating it was my timing was off by 2 teeth.

oh yea, did you have your car dyno tested after u got the timing set right? did it run a lot better, more power? i'm sure it did... but it seems like 70hp is a lot to loose if the timing is only off a little bit....
