a friend just bought the car w/ the swap already done. it is running on 95 auto vtec ecu and stock dx wiring in and out so the vtec doesnt come in and its dumping fuel. i have a engine harness of a 95 2dr ex auto and i want to know if i put it in will it fix the check engine and make the vtec kick in? or would it just be easier to run an rpm activated switch for the vtec and try trouble shoot the codes?

i know the check light will stay on because of the auto ecu but will it still dump fuel?TIA
