true itr
Hey fellows. I'm a crx owner, and I was driving past a dealership in pittsburgh that has an itr. I wanna know if there are any cosmetic details to tell if its a true itr. I would go in and ask the people at the dealership, but they close at 5 and I don't get out of school until 5. So all I can see is the badge on the side that says type r. It's left-hand drive and has the 4 circle headlights. Thanks in advance.

I'm sure you'll get a reply before I even finish typing this.....
EDIT: I was right
Anyway, just off the top of my head:
5 lug/different wheels
Painted sideskirts
Red emblems
Type R stickers
Higher wing
Different interior
Slightly lower than a regular Integra
Only comes in 5-speed
No side moldings
Pretty much everything can be changed. So if you have the means, you can make any Integra exactly like an ITR. (Save some chassis details....but that can be done as well).

Real ITRs have:
- No side moldings
- 5 lugs
- No moonroof
- Black Alcantara/Cloth seats
- Come in only Championship White ('97-'98), Phoenix Yellow ('00-'01), Flamenco Black ('00), and Nighthawk Black ('01)
- Type R stickers/emblems
- Various other distinguishing differences
If you want to be 100% sure, get the VIN and run a Carfax report.
Edit: Looks like you got 4 replies before I even finished typing, lol.

What did we figure out that all Type R VIN's start with? JH4DC231?

if they were to try to sell it as a type r and i really was not, it would be fraud.....
i doubt any dealership would want to go through that hassle......

I'm not going to steal it, and it's inside the showroom. I was just curious as to if it was a real one, or a fake. I can't call them because I'm either at class from 8 am-5 pm or I'm at work. Thanks for the help guys.
