hello

I'm having serious electrical problems.. heres a list of exactly what does not work

Deck wont power on fully, (when wired up it will eject cds but face plate wont turn on, deck did work prior, and also works in other car)

flashers dont turn on but hazards will

seedomiter, odomiter, basicly all the gages dont work, and all the lights except for the blue birght headlight light dont work, (example so you know what lights i mean is the no seat belt light)

the backlight for the instermint panel will come on..

I have checked all the fuse's and evrything else I can think of.. It started this tonight andI havent done anything to my car in over 4 months and everything has worked up until tonight..

if you have any ideas it would be great.. thanks for your help..

yes, those are the only problems I have.. everything elseworks perfictly fine..

try checking ALL your fuses again.. or you can get those nifty fuses that glow when they are busted

 

i've checked them many times.. still no problem with any of them..

 

had a similar problem in my hatch before. turned out to be a short somewhere. had to take it to an electrician to fix.

 

I had the same exact problem with my car...92 si hatch...fixed it yesterday

gauges didn't work but back light would come on

After looking at some wiring diagrams and etc I went to my fuse box under the dash and found that the fuse labeled (BACK UP) or something like that (#10) it said in my HAYNES was blown - replaced that and gauge started working

At the same time I blew the turn signal fuse under the hood, replaced that and everything is working good now...

OK...I had the same problem and it was really stupid. It was the back up switch on the top of the tranny.

 

i'm glad that i'm not the only one who had this problem.. I checked all fuses again and what not.. I also checked the relay from under the hood and the shop said it was fine.. you guys think its just a short some where?
