Default Itr on Gsr Basemap?

Is it safe to run a ITR motor on a GSR basemap? Its a 99 jdm itr but i just found out that the previous owner has it running on a gsr basemap with little to no tuning. It has hondata but for some reason it was never tuned and is on a gsr basemap. I just wanna know if at any point will it be running lean or can this screw anything up?

Any-1 know where a ITR basemap can be downloaded?

Its Hondata silly.... so most likely an obd1 gsr ecu or a p28 that simply has a chip for hondata in it......

Besides... your comment makes no sense... sounds like you are impling that it was degraded for bad reasons... to a gsr ecu (which it wasn't) and that it then was upgraded with a hondata... so you are making good/bad assumptions. Interesting.

Typical soup **** comments...

...

Don't sweat it, just get it on a wideband at a dyno or somewhere and check it yourself.

I wouldn't worry too much about it.

The gsr and itr maps are very similar - with the biggest differences being vtec crossover and rev limiter.

Just go to a reputable tuner for hondata and get it on the dyno to finalize your base map.

You should be fine running on the map you have until then. It'll probably run really ruch, but safe...

typical 04 member trying to make a quick buck knowing that the JDM ITR ecu won't work with Hondata.

thanks for the comments, i just wanted to make sure a gsr basemap is safe to run on an itr motor. It was supose to get tuned about 3 weeks ago but the shop keeps putting me off. Its a chipped p28 ecu with hondata. Basically they downloaded a gsr basemap, and did very minimal tuning. Ill be getting it tuned for 1-2 hours on the dyno. Just gotta bitchslap the shop owner for putting me off every week. Ill post up numbers and all once its done. Thanks for the info, just wanted to make sure the gsr basemap wouldnt screw up the motor, ive already purchased a bad motor "some-1 elses problem" a year ago and it didnt turn out pretty.

Will you PLEASE stop trying to sell stuff in this forum?

Every time I see you post, its a FS blurb/hyjack.

This isn't the forum for this.
