SI engine harness vs. HF engine harness differences

Default SI engine harness vs. HF engine harness differences

like the title states whats the differences? missing plugs? different plugs? whatever you guys can name, im not familiar with the D-familia

It depends on the year. 88-89 are different from 90-91.
I know the HF harness has an extra plug for the EGR valve that the Si doesn't use.
Also some Si's have an extra valve at the back of the manifold and some others don't so that's more differences, even between Si's.

88-89 and 90-91 might physically plug into a Si car but the wire locations are different. this is due to the EGR valve.

you can repin the harness connectors to match the Si i guess...

not easy to repin as some of the wires (like alternator) are in different connectors - HF is on driver's side and Si is on passenger's side

hmm what about distributors? are there differences in years too? i basically need to know what parts i can use from an HF onto an SI motor

the dizzy for both HF and SI is the same from 88-91....

sweet. thanks for all this info. now i know the ECU's will be different but i could run an SI off an HF one just to get around right?
