How do you know if a ITR exhaust is really a ITR exhaust?

How do you know if a ITR exhaust is really a ITR exhaust?

I just bought a type r exhaust and want to know how I can confirm it really is a ITR exhaust and not a GSR or LS exhaust?

It has a tip like the 98 and up GSR's. And at the end of the tip it should say "MAD VTEC YO!". The tip is polished, and is slightly bigger than the GSR.

The tip is welded versus the gsr which screws on.

I don't believe it's welded... I might be wrong though.

ITR tip is 100% welded.

this is the muffler.........I am suspect because I measured the piping from the left inner portion to the right-side inner portion and it measures right at 2 inches...

Looks ITR to me. Check the OD of the piping, as it will be 2.25" on an ITR system (excluding the bottlenecks).

gsr tip = screwed on

itr tip = welded

I guess I was wrong. I wouldn't know, I haven't seen my stock exhaust for about 3 years now.
