Default B18C feels very slow in the lower RPM range, need help

well got the wiring done, CEL was on due to knock sensor and 02 sensor not being on, worked that out about 2wks ago

now keep in mind alls thats left is the IAB system (check valve-solenoid-vaccum tank, etc)

im also running the stock GS-R intake, without an filter, sock over it (i know i know AEM is on tomorrow)

now could the combination of these 2 things be whats keeping it so damn slow? i talked to a friend who is a tech and said no, he said working on closing and opening the butterflies wont gain u much, maybe some trq, etc

what could it be?

thx in advance!!

Please don't ever use clothing as a form of filteration. That's just plain wrong and stupid. I'm surprised people even consider using socks or stockings as filters.

And I really think this is what's holding your power back.

if you dont have the secondaries connected you will definetly feel a low end loss, by default the secondaries stay open when not connected.

once connected youll feel more low end grunt...

Hahahahha a sock. One time i was cleaning my fake AEM cone intake and the damn thing broke in half. I was like what the hell? Cheap **** sucks. So i had to go to the tuner shop and buy another fake one. Better quality though. Just counting down the days till i get a S2 intake manifold so i can buy the ITR CAI.
