What code? I had a P1457 & wrote it up partway down in this thread...
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=748876

P1456 would include instead, the gas tank & a couple different components, but the Helm book has a pretty similar procedure to check THAT stuff out. If you just got 90 from the blinking-licht code, then it might be either one of these.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by SIMATIC &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">...can you send it again?</TD></TR></TABLE>It's the link in my other message, above. About 3/4 down towards the bottom of that thread...

Can you get your hands on a Helm book? (Library?) The pictures & descriptions in there are way better; they go on for several pages. Especially if you get to the later checks where you have to connect the hoses special ways for the test.

On mine it was the vent-shut valve, & it sounds like that's pretty common. When I tried to energize that valve with jumpers to the battery, it didn't even click. It was corroded into a lump so the problem was sorta obvious... (You could take a chance & jump right to that check?)

The maintenance light has nothing to do with this. Just a mileage reminder for scheduled maintenance. Press the odometer-reset button when the car's off, hold it while you turn on the car, keep holding it until the maint. light goes off.

There's like a half dozen valves & things that can set P1457, along with leaky vacuum hoses in between them. You just gotta go thru them until you find something that isn't right...

well i jacked it up, not exactly sure if i could tell what was wrong...but i saw that cylinder that sits upright. i dunno if it was dirt. but the side that was towards the inside looks like it had a long stain on it, running from the top to the bottom. some kinda build up. i dunno if its dirt, but it looks like mabe its burnt. i dunno its a brownish stain. i duno if thats even anything. all the hoses looked ok. thats bout it. i duno what else.
