you need a different throttle bracket but that should come with the motor.
The Vtec wiring is just three wires, and i beleive the B18B blocks already have a knock sensor. About the motor mounts they are all the same.
good luck on your swap. let me know if you run into any other problems

Searsh for or instant message redteggy, he did a gsr swap into his 94 RS. Its a pretty straight forward swap, good if its your first swap.

you can use your own axles/mounts/shift linkage....your B18B1 is OBD1, if the B18C1 is also OBD1 then you'll only need to add three wires to your own ecu harness. If the B18C1 is OBD2 then it'll be a LOT more complicated...same with JDM(non OBD).

I have an OBD1 B18C1 in my 95 RS and the swap was a sinch

Why would you want to perform a motor swap for only 30HP??! Just take your LS and boost that ****! I think a LS/turbo would be a hell of a lot quicker than a GSR.

maybe he doesnt want the headaches that come along with a turbo. Go for the swap.

the swap would be great, but i beleive turbo would be better for the price. Both is going to run you about 3000 dollars. His right, no headaches for the GSR swap, and staying all motor. But i strongly beleive if you get a good turbo setup, you'll be in good shape also. NO headaches, But just way more HP than the GSRswap.
Let me know what i can do for you. I have a GSR and Drag turbo kit right now. please give us a call if you're interested in those items, please remind me you're an honda-tech member. i'll be sure to give you a discount.
thanks

Bump, will be possibly picking up a 96 to swap into my 95. What is needed exactly?

motor/tranny
ecu
vtec subharness (ez)
which sensors will I be missing?
I will have to convert to obd2 right? Could I get an obd1 gsr ecu?

Thanks
