Default Getting a CEL Code 45.....

so last nite i was driving home and my CEL Light came on. I checked the CEL Code and i got a code 45 [Fuel system too rich or lean]
.....I decided to check my spark plugs and also my plugs in my cat and o2 sensors in the header....i then reset my ecu and when the retryed to see if the code came on again.........it did.

i changed my oil this saturday, i also replaced a plug in my cat to prevent the exhaust leak this saturday, and i USAULLY NEVER run on a FULL tank of gas.....usaully like 8$ worth....but this saturday i decided to fill the tank after like literally a month.

after these things i have noticed a odd noise coming from below the header where the top piece connects to the bottom piece.......i noticed when i acclerate i get a much louder noise then normal from my engine, i also noticed very brief smells of gasoline from engine. Any ideas of what this could be or what to check????? Thanks.

running too rich, let me guess its an obd2 engine or car, put a o2 simulator on and the check light will go away

Kinda answered your own question right there. Lets see, you have a big enuff exhaust leak to be able to hear it and smell it. Wouldnt the mean there probably is not enuff exhaust flow past the O2 sensor to get a good reading? Enuff exhaust is leaking before the O2 and it thinks your running really lean for all the other condiotions.

It all good. We all tend to over look the obvious sometimes. I just hope thats all it is. May not be a bad idea to swap out the o2 for a known good one to test with.
