Well I was driving along last night and suddenly my car started to putt. It seriously sounded like a tractor and there was no power whatsoever. I pulled over and noticed that my primary 02 sensor was unplugged. So did the ECU just retard my timing and dump a bunch of fuel? Also what does it mean when the check engine light starts flashing while you are driving instead of just being lit?

 

The O2 sensor could not give the ECU information while running in closed loop(I think it's closed loop) so it gave you a CEL that forced your car into the infamous Limp Mode. Blinking CEL light means limp mode.

Were still working out the logistics. Right now I have the R. I think we just have to go down and get refinanced for both vehicles now.

 

Thats not limp mode.
Thats just run really rich mode.

Remember, limp mode also engages a rev limiter at 6000rpm.
