Default Need help identifying a plug under the dash

There is 4 wires the just go nowhere. there all taped up in elecrical tape.

The wire is right behind the center console. It has i think 2 grounds (black) one white w/ green stripe and a red wire.

The cig ligher only has 2 wires on the female side.

Is this for the cig lighter?

Perhaps it is for the dash clock? my car isnt here but i seem to remember that when i bought the dash clock (never got around to installing it) it had four wires in the back that needed to be hooked up.

those are for the ash tray light and cigarette lighter ring light. if not that, then its for the cigarette lighter relay, which is on the 90-91s but not the 88-89s.

i have a 90dx i rewired with an 89si harness, and i had nothing to plug into that replay, which is attached to the metal part of the center console. but the cig lighter still works so the power still comes from the fuse box. i never really figured that out, but my guess is you did the opposite, and used a newer harness to rewire a car without that cig lighter relay.

or its the ash tray and cig lighter illumination which was an option on the 90-91s.

thats what i think.

and lastly, does everything work on your climate controls, a/c and whatnot? does the cig lighter have 12 volt and ground, if so, then dont worry about it
