My bro's 00 yellow r was stolen last week up in nor cal, sf specifically, and it was stripped down to the metal frame. Be careful that the parts aren't hot. I'm not accusing of anyone but just warning potential buyers and sellers. Just make sure everything is legit (i.e. from another itr owner) when you do purchase a part.

If anyone sees any parts turning up from sellers around nor cal area, please pm me

I see ITR items on ebay all the time. How do we tell if it legit or not ?

WELCOME TO THE SF STOLEN ITR CLUB....mine was also stolen along with 3 more R's...Can you IM me telling me where your brother ITR was found, maybe it's the same thieves that stole ours....

you really can't but a possibility is emailing the seller

 

Damn that sucks to hear about. I will keep an eye out for sure. Like Hype has already stated, there has been numerous ITR's stolen in SF. It may be the same people.

 

There are lots of people selling stock ITR parts on craigslist. Are there anything that differentiates your bro's ITR from others?

 

there was a hot itr motor for sale on h-t like a week ago, not sure where it was from, but i pm'd earl about it because i wanted to buy it and wanted his advice because it was restamped.

The car was stolen last week, he stays in sf around fullton and 31st avenue, a few blocks down from the alexandra movie theater. He had a few mods, had the hi-tech headers/exhaust, victor x manifold with the rods and throttle body. I'm not sure where his car came up, but the police found the shell 2 days after it was stolen, stripped of everything. If there have been other cases of stolen ITR's, most likely same people if all in the same stripped of everything condition....
Honestly, just because people can't afford certain rare and nice cars does not give them the f'ing right to steal another's. It's easy to just jack shyt from people who have worked for their valuables. Damn people should be shot, mean and condemning but this pisses me off.

 

Damn... I am sorry to hear that. Another Bay Area R is down. Does he has any alarm system or LoJack?

 

What's depressing is he had both... the thieves must have been techies or something because the police couldn't track the car via lo-jack and my g-pa thought he heard an alarm go off during the middle of the night but it was cut off a few seconds later. F'ing people should be kicked
