Instead of buying a rear lip for my stock 98 rear I was thinking of just buying the whole rear from a 99-00 because those stock kinna have a lip molded into the design and its just easier to deal with instead of dealing with fitment for this jdm **** rear lip.

My question is will it fit for sure? Considering the rear was not changed during that generation logic tells me yes. Buuut, for all I know they could have small changes in how it mounts which would be a problem.

Just wondering if anyone knows for sure.

 

also noticed a lot of oem style rear bumpers from ebay. anybody have any experience with these, they sorta seem too good to be true honestly at $40.

Yeah they will fit they're basically the same.

 

 

a 99-00 rear lip will not fit a 96-98 bumper. I believe the mounting brackets/holes are different.

 

nah i'm not trying to put the lip on the 99 bumper, i just want to see if the 99-00 bumper fits a 98 civic.

96-98 coupe bumper is interchangeable with the 99-00 rear bumper.
