Default Help!.. I just cut the wires for the sensor on my headers.

I was working on my car last nite and had to remove my headers, so i had everything off except the sensor that connects to the headers. I spend like 30minutes trying to get it off until i just cut it.

How will this effect my car?.. should i replace it with a new oxygen sensor?
I know my check engine light with go on.. but thats about it.. my car is obd1.

did you cut the wires where?
between the connector and the O2 sensor?
then just get a new 02 sensor with a new connector... youre all set.

this would apply to my 94 GSR, so I hope I am a help here.....

How much would it cost for a new O2 sensor?
what if i just leave it how it is?

out of curiousity, why didnt you just remove the o2 sensor? Probably would have saved you a bit of hassle.

For the sake of human curiosity, I must ask...why the hell did you cut it? There is a clip on the o2 sensor connector, press in that clip and pull the plug out. O2 sensor is expensive. They runs around $100 plus for new factory one and $80 for generic one (without factory socket)...Next time you do anything, get a Helm manual and do things right.
