Default I wanna use thicker oil than 5W 30.

for my 91 hatch.. i wanna try using oil that is next level thicker than 5 W 30.

should i go for 10W 30 or 5 W 40??

Just hit the 10w30. I used that until I started burning oil then in went the 10w40.

yeah my hooptie started burning alot of oil..

i used 5w 30..

so i should go 10w 40?

Try 10w30 castrol high mileage or even 10w40. It might get too cold over there to use 10w though.

When you start burning the 10W40 hardcore, skip the 20W50 and go straight for SAE 30.

You answerred my question before i asked!!

I use 20 w50 Castrol Sythetic Blend here in California. Would straight SAE work for my oil. I'm not so much consuming, as i think im making sludgy. After just a few weeks , my oil seams to get kind of sticky. Coolant level never droping either.

I would like to point out that i drive no less than 80 miles a day, in bumper to bumper traffic. ...........L.A.....Can't live with it. Can' imagine living without it!
