Default B16a2 swap into EG4. Wiring Question.

Do I need to fit the full B16a2 loom or can do I use my exsisting loom and just run extra wires to B16a2 ECU for VTEC etc?

The multiplugs on the right handside of the engine bay, dont match up, do I cut them off and solder back together or use, the full B16a2 loom, as above?

Thanks.

First off... Dont ever cut the plugs at the ecu off and try to rewire them.haha.. Thats a no no... second. you would need a jumper from obd1-obd2b so you can use the si ecu or you can try to find a obd1 gsr/b16 ecu along with injecters and rewire the dizzy and add knock wire. Best thing to do is find a 92-95 si harness so you dont have to cut and rewire so much. easy swap...

Cutting Wires = No No.. We Prefer you dont Splice ur Important Wires.... Check Your Wiring Harness.... You can Buy used Harnesses in the Classifieds Sect.

Thanks for the tips guys, as I'm in the UK, alot of parts seem to be different. The B16a2 engine was from a 93' OBD1 car and my EG4 seems to be OBD0!
Anyway, its all in and running now, thanks again.

Where are you located ??? What year/model chassis do you have ??? What engine combination are you trying to use and what year/model vehicle did it come from ??? It is normally accepted to use the engine harness from YOUR CURRENT CAR and adapted to fit the replacement engine, and then wires are added/subtracted, lengthened/shortened, plug styles exchanged/replaced to meet the requirements of the new engine.
