need info on JDM B18C-R**searched**
i've searched but i can find this information. anyways, i got a 99 JDM ITR motor and im running a p28 with vafc but i dont know when vtec kicks in on stock ecu so i can set it on my vafc. also, i was wondering when redline starts. i appreciate it. thanks!

thanks
It should be 5800k rpms... That's when mine kicks in, I have a JDM 98 ITR ecu on JDM ITR engine. What gets me is people say they have a rev/fuel cut limiter. Maybe only the U.S. and European ITR's? I've never noticed that on JDM ITR/CTR... the higher you rev the higher it goes... and it just keeps going... or until you reach your max speed or blow your motor.

Yeah, dumbass! And it's 5800, Guage clusters are off.

My jdm ITR motor is a 97 using the stock jdm p73 that came with it. It definitely has a rev limiter/ and is definitely governed. So what you have said leads me to beleive that your computer was fuct with, reflashed, chipped or something. You just keep reving that thing as high it will go.....you'll understand something is wrong very shortly, like after you bend all your valves!

Please I barely rev to 8200rpms! But I have accidently over reved a few times over 9500K and did not notice anything. Don't get me wrong, I've own 2 different JDM ITR motors and none of them have given me a rev limit or govenor. Believe it or not. I have also own the JDM B16B before, and the CTR ecu does the same thing. No fuel cut, no governor. That's 3 different ECU's. Maybe it's just my car or motor? BTW? Why would you have a speed governor on your ITR ecu? You telling me you can't hit your max speed limit? I've noticed this on the older JDM B16A, but never the ITR. My ecu's are completely stock... all my engines were bought from Hmotorsonline!

I'm telling you that my caR shuts off at 127mph....will not go any faster! I have talked to many others who have the same motor, same ecu and all agree. Perhaps you do not b/c its a 98+. I have an OBD IIA where as you have an OBDIIB...i think that may be the difference!

Hmmm.. . I thought most 96-98 Hondas were OBDIIA and 99-00 Honda's was OBDIIB? I have a 96 Civic HB chassis. The ecu's i've tested were from: 96 JDM ITR, 98 JDM ITR, 98 JDM CTR. But I do find that odd, that's why I was asking so. But really my ECU's are all stock. No ecu mods. My current motor is a 98 JDM ITR w/98 JDM ITR ecu.

everyone in this thread is wrong.....!
stock crossover is 5600
if you don't believe me, then simply set your vafc at 5600 crossover, then set your monitor to show vti (vtec input) and vto (vtec output).
vti will go on when the ecu sends the signal to engage vtec. I guarantee you will see that at 5600. take a drive and prove me wrong. vto will show as on at whatever rpm you set your vtec at on the vafc.....
on all the tards..... don't go by the factory tach - it's off by a bit....

Ummm, please correct me if i'm wrong but I was pretty sure all Honda's(if not most vehicles) were governed. i own a 96 b18c-r and I have maxed 5th gear out and it def. cut off. I could'nt tell you the speed I was at cause I have the JDM cluster. Anyway, please confirm for me that there is a limiter in our cars or that this guys ecu has been tampered with.
