Clutch alignment tool
I purchased a clutch kit from a friend. I belive he got it from SP Enginering. Its their 6 puck clutch kit. I noticed it didn't have the alignment tool with it. And I was wondering if i needed it. Or if i should go to honda and purchase one. Its a b series clutch. Any input would help. Thanx

I would definitely use the alignment tool. Why spend money on the clutch and not put it in right only to have it break? The tool's not really that hard to use either. So you have a strong recomendation from me use the tool.

It's helpful certainly to be able to use it, but I've done it before without it. I have had no luck being able to find them around in St. Louis at any auto parts stores.

this is what I do for a "ghetto" clutch alignment tool.
Take a socket wrench extension. wrap electrical tape around the small end and keep testing until it fits tightly into the gear hole in the crank. then move a little down the extension and wrap tape until it fits tightly into the clutch hole.
instant clutch alignment tool.

Yeah, except you don't know if the splines are aligned.
Don't bullshit this job, you NEED a clutch alignment tool.

I swear that this tool isn't sold anywere in Long Beach, Ca or any neighbors that I can find. I ended up buying a whole clutch kit from autozone, using the part then cleaning it off and returning everything.
I got this idea from someone on H-T.
