howdy

i'm trying to pull my motor. i have 3 of the 4 balljoints removed (hammer & fork). The driverside ball joint in the control arm is so stuck that it is ruining my fork.

can anyone tell me how to remove it? please thanks

 

wack the joint with a hammer. not on the bolt part. just around it. dammit, brain fart, i dont know the name for it.

 

been covered lots of times.

This is what I do (all together):
-Gear puller on the threaded bottom of the joint, pressing it up through the lca.
-OE jack raising the knuckle - putting spring's force on the lca to separate from knuckle.
-4lb sledge beating on the flat area on the lca near the knuckle.

This method has always worked for me.

 

careful wit that spring. Just a warning, springs have a lot of power coiled up.
