Default Is a valve adjustment required immediately after cams installation?

Or can it be driven around ticking like crazy until I find someone that has the adjustment tool? Will this damage anything?...my rocker arms, valves, etc?
My intake side is cool except my exhaust valves are too tight for the new exhaust cam. Also, what is the proper break-in method for new camshafts? + Where is a decent priced & knows there sh*t place to dyno in SoCal??

you should get the valve adjustment ASAP. I personally wouldn't like to take any chance on my own motor. A decent price for dyno should be somewhere around 100 dollars or so. Call around, JG, R&D does pretty good work on dynos

It very much could damage something!!!! Your valves are not opening properly and may only be cracking open on some!!! Buy the damn tool! 45 bucks from snap on.

without exception, especially if you installed a high lift cam, you could blow up real quick.

Who ever was smart enough to install the cams should have been able to adjust the clearance. DON'T DRIVE IT.

Been in business for a long time.
They have the big drum dyno, a load dyno for tuning and a motorcycle dyno
www.dynoshop.com

Anybody have the part # for the snap-on valve adj. tool?
All I see under snap-on's sight is the 12mm (jam nut type) while the b-series head like my B16 needs a 10mm. Where are you guys getting the 10mm snap-on tool?
Thanks peeps.
