Default type-r theft

From what I've been hearing from my honda-enthusiaist friend, there is alot of integra type r theft going around. Especially here in chicago in the past couple months, Ive heard some guy parked his car in chinatown to get something to eat, came out and it was gone. I see how all the type r owners always baby the **** out of their cars and keep it nice and clean and whatnot (you ge the jist) , But do you guys neglect to buy a good alarm or are those cars so damned easy to steal? I mean, unless you work at a acura/honda dealer and make yourself a key from the vin you see on the R you want. THnaks for input.

Want the truth???

I DON'T EVEN HAVE AN ALARM RIGHT NOW, Come and get it *****!! I double dare you.

I don't need alarm, I never leave sight of it, ever.

But will someone take the chance to see if I'm lying? ...

I've met you, Rob. Your car could be sitting there, engine running, door open, with you nowhere in sight, and I still wouldn't steal the damn thing

An alarm wont do ****. You sit there and ask us if we pass up installing one when you probably dont know **** about stealing a car. An alarm doesnt do jack if they really want it. Think next time...

i have an alarm for added security. however, if a thief really wants my car, he'll get it with a tow truck. i just try to layer as much security as possible.

You have to layer your security, and park it where a tow truck can't get to it. Stay awake from 12am-4am and you should be ok.

basically the only way to prevent a thief from taking your car nowadays is to plant landmines around your car. if he is desparate enough, a thief will take something regardless of how hard it is to acquire.

I was there in Chinatown the night it happened. Forgot dudes name.. sorry. Anyways, we all met up and went to eat in a restaurant. We were in there pretty long, about an hour and half. My ITR, and the other 3 ITR's were all block off by other peoples cars. The only ITR left in the open that was able to be towed or driven away, was the one that was stolen when we went back outside. ITR's are stolen all over the place, no matter what city. I'm lucky enough to have not have mine stolen. I have an alarm, and a club. But I had a feeling that if it weren't for the two Civics that were blocking off the 4 ITR's including mine that night, all of our R's would have been stolen.

no tow, no steal

u R owners should really invest in one of these. is $400 worth the protectiion of your R being driven away? your decision...

Lojack... HA! That doesn't work either! Let's just face it, there's really no way to protect our R's from getting stolen, if someone wants it, they'll find someway to get it.
