Well, about a week and a half ago my car wouldn't start even though I let it run for a bit...the battery was completely dead. So my friend said to remove the positive wire from the battery and if it still runs, that means the alternator is good. So I was like ok and bought a new battery.

Put the battery in, ran good for about 2 weeks already and now that battery is dead... I can push start the car and it'll run. But when I try and start it, the battery is completely dead. Anyone know what it may be? Anything to test simply? Thanks

 

Charging system is the culprit. You'll have to check all the charge lines and verify the alternator itself is still good.

 

you have a short to ground somewhere. check your starter wire. that's the first place i would check.

 

When you go to start the car does the starter make any noise??? What do you hear???
